Platformers' Days 2026: Adjusted rotation, date and event days strengthen trade fair for the future
Platformers' Days, The Trade Fair for Aerial Working Platforms, Cranes and Forklifts, has been optimised for the coming years as part of a strategic development process.
By incorporating numerous market perspectives, PD will be strengthened and geared towards the future.
The focus here is on adapting the rotation, the running days and the dates for subsequent years, considering the needs of exhibitors and visitors.
‘We were in constant dialogue with the industry when making the decision and took into account the innovation cycles of manufacturers and the investment power of customers, for example,’ explains Philipp Doll, Project Manager of Platformers’ Days.
‘In addition to this, we have also included the industry-specific trade fair landscape and the holiday periods of the German federal states as well as neighbouring European countries. By including all perspectives from the industry and its environment, we are sure of positive market acceptance,’ adds Beate Frères, Director at Messe Karlsruhe.
From the next edition, the trade fair will be held every two even years. From 2026, Platformers' Days will take place on a new date. The next event will therefore be held on 8 and 9 October 2026, with Thursday and Friday as the days of the event.
The Platformers' Days steering committee, a council of experts from the high-access technology sector, played a key role in shaping the adjustments. Henrich Clewing, CEO of Merlo Deutschland and member of the PD steering committee, comments:
‘For us, it is important that the voices from the industry were heard for the decision-making process for the future direction of Platformers' Days. Early communication offers planning security for exhibitors and visitors. The new cycle will consolidate PD even more exclusively as the centre of the industry and will become a must-attend event for product premieres.’
