Platformers' Days celebrates its 25th anniversary with numerous highlights

Innovations and eye-catchers at this year's event

For a quarter of a century, Platformers' Days has been the most important trade fair for aerial working platforms, cranes and forklifts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. From 6 to 7 September 2024, PD fans and everybody who is interested will once again be able to find out about a wide range of machines, pioneering solutions and complementary products from the most important manufacturers and dealers. Around 110 exhibitors will be showcasing their products on 32,000 square metres of exhibition space in Karlsruhe.

"Once again, this year, the presence of many manufacturers goes beyond just the stand area: around a dozen manufacturers and dealers of lifting and access technology will be presenting themselves in exclusive live demonstrations and answering questions from interested parties in the "Demo Area" and "Electric Park" show areas," explains Philipp Doll, Project Manager of Platformers' Days.

Construction site instead of theory: advanced show concepts bring technologies to life

In the Electro-Park, which has been moved to the centre of Hall 1, visitors will find two main topics: A model construction site showing the façade construction of a warehouse and one dealing with the installation of solar panels on a detached house. Both scenarios show how the devices interlock to optimise processes on the construction site - completely emission-free, without a combustion engine and with low noise levels. Both shows will feature industry experts such as ATG Lift, AVANT, Böcker, CTE, Dieci, Klaas and Merlo, who will each bring a part of the construction site to life with a trailer crane, telescopic forklift or crawler work platform.

Demo-Area in the outdoor area

The Demo-Area will showcase various telescopic boom lifts, scissor lifts and a mini crane in a live demonstration under realistic construction site conditions on around 1000 square metres of outdoor space. This gives visitors the opportunity to compare the machines directly in operation. Experts from the participating companies Genie/BSI/ATG, Haulotte, Jekko, JLG, PB Lifttechnik and Sahalift will be on hand to explain the finer points of their machines and answer any questions.

All show times for the electric park and the demo area can be found on the Platformers' Days website.

Exhibitor highlights at Platformers' Days 2024: First-time presentations, innovative machines and alternative drive technology

The third edition of Platformers' Days in Karlsruhe will once again provide a platform for highlights and innovations from the most important manufacturers and dealers in the aerial working platform, crane and forklift segments.

Faymonville, one of the major manufacturers of semi-trailers and low-loaders, is coming to Platformers' Days for the first time. The MEGAMAX 3-axle low-bed semi-trailer has a retractable gooseneck, an extendable low-bed, hydraulic forced steering and additional air suspension. Platformers' Days is thus expanding its portfolio in the field of transport solutions and heavy-duty logistics.

This year, JLG is presenting its new 660SJ Quad Tracks telescopic boom lift, which offers rental companies more flexibility for customer jobs in the field. It impresses with its additional platform load capacity, increased operating speed and new design.

Magni is bringing its new TH 3.6 rigid telehandler with a payload of three tonnes and a maximum lifting height of 5.8 metres to Platformers' Days. It is the most compact telehandler in this series, which is intended for the construction and logistics sector and will soon also be used in agriculture.

In the field of electric technology, Ruthmann stands out with its all-electric STEIGER Ampero TBR 260 E, which will be on display at the trade fair on the series production chassis of an IVECO e-Daily. Ruthmann's electric solution is particularly impressive due to its low maintenance requirements, low running costs and long service life.

SAHALIFT also joins the ranks of new products. The JIBBI 1890 PRiMO is the first fully electric, self-levelling crawler work platform with telescopic boom. Equipped with a fully electric travel drive and a completely removable battery charging unit, it enables the user to work for longer periods of time and also guarantees shift operation if the situation on site requires it.

This year's Platformers' Days will welcome STILL, one of the major key players in the forklift truck segment, for the first time. With its outstanding all-round service, STILL has stood for quality in the market for lifting and industrial trucks for over a hundred years. On show at Platformers' Days: the new RCE 25-35 electric forklift truck, which has everything that makes a solid helper: power, robustness and efficiency.

Industry expertise meets networking: What visitors can also look forward to

Whether it's the extensive catering on offer during the day, a "Coffee with Ralle" at the Cargotrans stand or the "Pineapple Man" at the Ruthmann catering - the Platformers' Days offer visitors a culinary all-round carefree package. The catering is included in the day ticket.

The PD Networking Night, an atmospheric evening event in the Action Hall and the Atrium of the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre, is the perfect end to the first day of the trade fair and this year is all about "Wine.Dine.Dance". In the evening, visitors can look forward to numerous highlights that invite them to linger and network.

"The highlights of Platformers' Days 2024 are diverse. The exhibitors will once again show what Platformers' Days stands for this year: Exciting new products from the work platform, crane and forklift segments, exclusive live demonstrations on the show areas and a unique networking character. We are looking forward to sustainable and technical solutions that meet the challenges of the market and show how the industry is constantly evolving," adds Olivia Hogenmüller, Team Lead Construction & Environment at Messe Karlsruhe.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of the State of Baden-Württemberg is the patron of Platformers' Days 2024.
